Be Happy - But How?
"Do not worry; be happy" the famous Bobby McFerrin lyrics reflect the desires of most of the people. Every parent wants happiness for their children, every good friend wants their friends to be happy. Every pet owner wants their pet to be happy.
Even the constitution of United States says that "Every man has the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness". The common message in all the above words is that happiness is a desirable state of life.
The need for happiness is in everyone. A majority of the people work hard in their life - so that they can make their family happy and comfortable. The wife works hard to keep her children happy. The husband works hard to earn more money for the happiness of his family and himself. We all in some way strive and struggle for money, health, fame and power not for our own sake but for the supposed happiness they may bring.
But somehow most of us are not at all happy. The suicide rate in the world is increasing; medicines related to depression are multimillion dollar business. If we buy a new car or get a promotion or succeed in our efforts to lose weight, we feel great for a while. But after sometimes we feel numb again. Here is some advice for you to be happy.
Try to live in the present
There is only one way to happiness and that is to cease worrying about things which are beyond the power of your will. Most of us worry too much about the future, future is not in our hands but the present time is. The secret of happiness is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, or expect troubles, but to live in the present moment and to live it wisely and sincerely. Your motto should be to make today a better yesterday. Train yourself to be happy live moment by moment. Cherish what you have and be content.
Smile a lot
Each day is full of endless possibilities! Start your day with a smile. You are in control of your feelings and thoughts---everyday keep them positive and be progressive in your approach. When you see your-self, in a mirror smile to yourself. A smile can do wonders to you and to others (but please be careful while smiling to strangers or you can end up in trouble).
Never Compare yourself
"Mirror mirror on the wall who is the prettiest of them all" this quote looks good in movies and fairytale books. In reality--never compare yourself to others, you are you and they are they. They have their own shortcomings and talents and you have your own. No two people can be alike, be satisfied with your features, looks, eye colors, hand and feet.
Forgive past hurts and mistakes
If you are harboring bitterness towards another human being because of past hurts, choose to forgive and move on. The harm was their fault. But allowing it to impact you today is yours. Learn to forget and forgive. If a person has hurt you forgive him/her but do keep your distance. A wise person never gets hurt from the same source.
Be satisfied with what you have
Nothing seems to be quite enough for most of us, as others appear to have more. Our desires to have more keep increasing. We try to find happiness in an outside source while happiness lies within.
Train yourself to be happy for no apparent reason. Be satisfied and feel content with what you have. Read jokes and success stories. If you see other people having more than you-- then be happy for them and also be happy with what you have. Remember they are they and you are you.
Keep yourself groomed and clean
By nature human are clean, a clean room can do wonder for us, so put effort in cleaning your house, room, office and bedroom. Daily take a bath, pamper yourself with a good shampoo, or soap. Take your time to dress up, wear things for yourself. Keep yourself happy by respecting yourself.
Never consider yourself to be failure
Never consider yourself to be a failure you are no one to judge yourself or others. Try to develop your personality by having positive thoughts and attitude. Keep a distance from people in your school, college or workplace, as too much mingling can raise expectations and when others hurt you, you will start considering yourself a failure.
Be kind
Be kind to all living creatures, feed the birds and water the plants. Do volunteer work with people or animals that are in need. When we help others we feel satisfied and happy.
Work hard
Whatever you do work hard, put effort and energy in whatever you are doing, work hard for a better tomorrow.

Become Aware - Eckhart Tolle
Focus attention on the feeling inside you. Know that it is the pain-body. Accept that it is there. Don't think about it - don't let the feeling turn into thinking. Don't judge or analyze. Don't make an identity for yourself out of it. Stay present, and continue to be the observer of what is happening inside you. Become aware not only of the emotional pain but also of "the one who observes," the silent watcher. This is the power of the Now, the power of your own conscious presence. Then see what happens.

Do BE Do BE Do - Getting Things Done While Being Mindful: Personal Life Coach Tips
TO DO Lists help us to remember important tasks that need to be done. List making is a great tool for focus and efficiency that I recommend as a personal life coach, and I want to acknowledge all the list makers in the world. Lists really do help with productivity! But have you noticed that these To Do Lists can become ever-present in our minds and thoughts? We may find ourselves wondering what we've forgotten to Do, what we need to Do next, and what tasks need to be added to the list? It can become important to not let our To Do Lists take over and become unforgiving task masters!
What would it be like if we were to create, and be vigilant about, a TO BE List, a mindful living list? Such a list might include these: Be Present; Be Compassionate; Be Peaceful; Be Joyful; Be Alert; Be Grateful; Be Accepting; Be Playful; Be Curious; Be Patient
A To Be List is not a list to check items off, the way we mark things DONE on a To Do List, because BEING is never "done". In fact, you could use the same To Be List every day, and it would never become obsolete. Its purpose is to clarify our intentions for HOW to BE, NOW, rather than to evaluate past performances. Our To Be List reminds us of the choices we have every moment and inspires us to always be our best selves. In the words of the late Coach John Wooden, "It isn't what you do, but how you do it."
Choosing How to BE is perhaps more subjective than choosing What to DO. And, it's more powerful in terms of quality of life. For example, charging ahead on a To Do List frequently results in feeling rushed and overwhelmed, not enjoying the actual doing. In my work as a Spiritual Life Coach, my clients find that being mindful is the key to enjoyment. (And being mindful is also a key to greater productivity, but that's a different topic I will write about later!)
In consciously choosing a state of Being like BE Alert, you are more likely be surprised and enriched as you notice things unnoticed before. Choosing to BE Compassionate, many ordinary conversations become rich and meaningful.
Are you ready to really ENJOY Getting Things Done? After all, you'll be doing things on your To Do List anyway, right? I suggest that you put your TO BE List right next to your TO DO List, where you can see both, or even have them on the same page. Then, whenever you decide on the next thing to do, ask yourself "How will I BE as I DO this?" as you select from the To Be List.
For example, if you need to contact a company about an error in your order, how do you want to be as you do it? Open? Relaxed? Understanding? Clear? Patient? If laundry is next, how do you want to BE as you do the laundry? Calm? Mindful? Playful? Curious?
I hope you have fun with this To Be List mindfulness practice. It's easy to remember. Just sing, "Do BE Do BE Do... "
And one more important personal life coach tip: Things like "BE productive" or "BE perfect" violate the spirit of the To Be List. BE careful how you choose to BE!

Life Is Hard Sometimes!
We all have our ups and downs, our good days and our not so good days. This seems to be the 'normal' run of human life, except for those of us that have learnt to see the happy side of life and appreciate each moment. This is something we should all aspire to.
Unfortunately, most of us have not yet reached that level of sustained brightness and positivity. We are all different and have attained differing levels of daily happiness and/or contentment.
Most of us still have at least the odd down day, when life seems to be a struggle. Our minds are in a muddle and we don't know which way to turn.
On these days, every day, but especially these days, the best thing to do is to keep going. Put one foot in front of the other. Get your tasks done and bear in mind that things will get better. There is always light at the end of the tunnel, however distant.
Remember all the good things in your life, family and friends especially. Everything that makes you feel grateful. That will get you through the day, so that you may start the next day afresh and it will be a brighter one.
As Eckhart Tolle teaches, learning to be present in the moment, aware of the now and not living in the past or the future, gives new meaning and purpose to our daily lives;a greater appreciation.
May all your days be filled with peace, love and happiness............
